The Elizabeth II
A full-size reproduction of a 16th century sailing ship and is named for one of the seven vessels that sailed from England to the New World in 1584. Docked at Roanoke Island Festival Par.

Jockeys Ridge
Jockey's Ridge is the tallest active sand dune system in the Eastern United States, and the most striking of the remaining dunes on the Outer Banks. Shifting winds are constantly reshaping the dunes. Because the Ridge is always changing, it is often referred to as "The Living Dune." The park also offers hang-gliding (through Kitty Hawk Kites) and kite flying.
